One of my favorite things as a photographer is to be able to photograph people through different stages of their lives. I knew that with Mother’s Day around the corner, I wanted to feature the beauty of motherhood. So I felt impressed to call a woman who I admired as a mother, Moriah. Moriah was one of my brides nearly two years ago as well as a dear friend who I have photographed for years. She had her beautiful daughter Paisley last year and fell in love with motherhood instantly. So today, I want to feature this beautiful motherhood session today on Mother’s Day (and Moriah’s birthday)!

“For all things, my hands have held the best by far is you.”

We took advantage of the gorgeous blossoms here in Idaho and the limited sunshine that we have had this last week. This was my first year being around for the blossom season and I was in love! Paisley loved them as well as she tried to eat any blossom that was close enough to reach. Near the end of the session, this sweet little girl started to fall asleep and those were some of the most precious moments for me. As I watched my dear friend hold and tenderly care for her daughter, I couldn’t help but feel so much love and happiness. It was truly an honor to witness a love so pure and beautiful.

“To all the mother’s out there today… Happy Mother’s Day.”

Happy Mother’s Day… to my amazing mother, to my wonderful mother-in-law and to all the mother’s out there. You are women that I admire. Women of strength and full of love even in the hardest of times. Today, we celebrate you and we honor you. We love you!
