When a family visit turns into a family session in my backyard – I am all about it! When we bought our house, I instantly fell in love with the large space in our backyard filled with these beautiful trees. You might notice that this is where I take most of my kid’s birthday or holiday photos, it truly is one of my favorite parts of our home.

I’ve photographed Rebekah and Rhett throughout the years, in many seasons of their life – engagement, wedding, pregnancy announcements. So when they stopped by for a quick visit, we couldn’t resist taking advantage of the beautiful (and slightly chilly) morning light that was shining through the trees in my backyard. It doesn’t always matter that there is a fence in the back or that we only took a handful of photos – what matters is the people, the season of life document, and the feeling of love and family.
