One of my favorite things about going back to Alaska is documenting the life of those who helped me start my journey as a photographer. Kiera has been one of my dear friends since, well our birth, with about 90% of my childhood memories involving her and her family. She was one of my clients when I would call her and we’d take out my old point and shoot. When Kiera and Sebastian got engaged, I had the honor of capturing their engagement session in Idaho. Watching two people that you grew up with, fall in love is a truly amazing thing, and being able to document that is even more incredible.
Fast forward and now these two have been married for over 5 years, traveled around the world, adopted a cute pup, and so much more. When we all reunited in Alaska this spring, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to document their life now. So on a perfect, overcast Southeast Alaska day we headed over to the Mendenhall Glacier with their sweet little pup in tow and captured this beautiful anniversary session.
