We could see the storm clouds coming but we were determined to outrun them. The funniest part? It started down pouring 2 minutes after we took the last picture of the session.

Patrick spent about 4 out of 7 nights a week at our house for dinner during our junior year of college. He quickly became one of our close friends and when he brought Eliza to the mix, we were more than overjoyed. She was a perfect fit for him!

Over the next few months, we quickly decided that these two could never move too far away. We needed them in our lives and nearby which now makes me laugh as they now live in California for Patrick’s grad school. Watching them go from dating, to engaged and being a part of their story was truly been a joy. Documenting the engaged stage of a relationship is one of the most fun parts: you get to see the start of it all.

Fun Fact: Want to know my secret behind the location of the purple blossoms and stairs? It’s actually just a church parking lot! Between the stairs and the gorgeous blossoms, I just couldn’t resist! Enjoy these two and their stunning spring engagement session.
