This engagement session was a whirlwind weekend full of great memories, good friends, and some pretty incredible moments captured. I left Idaho on a Saturday morning and flew to Portland where my gorgeous bride-to-be, picked me up and we drove to the Oregon Coast where Janelle and Pierson currently live. Janelle and I have been friends since high school when we met through track and field but hadn’t seen each other since graduating. The drive gave us the incredible opportunity to catch up and reminisce on old times.
That night, we decided to document Janelle and Pierson’s engagement session in two different areas: the logging roads and the beach. We couldn’t have asked for a better day as we drove up to the woods and found these amazing spots. It was a whole new version of the Oregon Coast for me and I was so happy that we decided to explore it. As the sun started setting, we headed down to the water and photographed the iconic look of the coast. It was a beautiful night to document these two incredible people. The next day, I flew back home but found myself determined to head back to the coast again, sooner than later.
A little look into the couple…
Janelle and Pierson’s Proposal Story:
“We took a trip back to Tupper Lake, NY to see his family. He and his dad and brother went fishing while his mom and I went to get our nails done. When we got back Pierson asked if I wanted to go out fishing with them. So his dad switched with me and Pierson, his brother and I went fishing on the lake for a while. Pierson then said we would go meet up with his friends that were supposed to be camping at a spot on the edge of the lake. Little did I know there were tiki torches and an archway set up along this trail in the woods. He had me stand under the archway and view planned out chronological pictures from the time we met until now on a customized little kid viewfinder. He then proposed and his brother caught it all on camera.”
